Site Engineering Qualifications
BEng or MEng (undergraduate study). This will take around 4 to 5 years to complete and will cover a whole range of subjects for you to get your teeth stuck into. Although generally there is a minimum requirement to take this course of GCSE English Language and Mathematics at grade C or above (or equivalent) and a Mathematics A-level and Physics A-level (or equivalent).
The university fees for a civil engineering degree will cost you a pretty penny and can be upwards of £10,000.
You would then move on to an MSc which is a further 12 months full time or 60 months part time typically.
Moving on from BEng and MEng is CEng, this is a Chartered Engineer which can take around 10 years to achieve.
